Victoria Tolosa Paz said that Cristina Fernández's situation is “a closed stage”

In the context of the strong dispute that exists within the Justicialist Party to see who will be its main figure at the national level, this Wednesday the national deputy of Unión por la Patria, Victoria Tolosa Paz, took the floor, for whom “there is a closed stage in the leadership” of former president Cristina Fernández “towards the whole of the Peronist movement.”

Very close to Alberto Fernández, Tolosa Paz is part of the brand new “Right to the Future Movement” (MDF), which promotes the current governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, as its main figure.

In an interview with Futurock, the former Minister of Social Development explained that she had expressed her concern about the expiration of the leadership of the current PJ president "in advance" when, together with other leaders, she supported the governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela.

"We went looking for him and we ended up with a very big obstacle to political participation," he recalled about the failed candidacy of the man from La Rioja, who was relegated at the last minute by the candidacy of Cristina Fernández.

“Many of us see that Axel is trying not to make the mistakes of the past; we are part of a movement that has been closing off political participation and debate, and we have naturalized that instead of being the party of democracy and participation, we have become the party of intervention. We have four provinces under intervention,” said Tolosa Paz, who did not hide his preference for the governor of Buenos Aires, who he considered has the vocation to “not repeat the mistakes of the past” made by the current president of the PJ.

Originally from La Plata, in 2023 Tolosa Paz was a pre-candidate for governor to compete in the PASO against Kicillof, whom she now supports instead of Cristina Fernández.
